About Myostep

We make one thing

Myostep makes an EMS bunion corrector. That is the whole range. We would rather get one thing right than put our name on fifty.

Why this, and not another spacer

A bunion aches because the muscle that should be holding your big toe in line has quietly stopped doing it. Spacers and night splints hold the toe where you put it. That helps while they are in, and changes nothing once they come out, because nothing was ever asked to do the holding.

Myostep asks the muscle instead. Electrical muscle stimulation makes it contract on its own, the way it would if you could train it deliberately — which almost nobody can. The brace supports the joint while that happens, and a slim built-in aluminium strip along the side of it keeps the line you set.

15 minutes a day, sitting down. Not in your shoes, and not overnight.

What we will not tell you

  • That it makes the bunion go away. It does not. A bunion is a change in the bone and the joint, and nothing worn on the outside reverses that.
  • That it works in a week. This is muscle work, and muscle work is slow. Give it a month of daily use before you judge it. Anyone promising you a difference in seven days is selling you something.
  • That it suits everybody. It does not. Not with a pacemaker or any other implanted electronic device, and not for a joint that has gone rigid — that deserves a podiatrist, not a device.

How we work

  • One product at a time. Anything we add has to earn its place the same way this did.
  • Plain language. Myostep is a muscle-stimulation and support device. It is not a medical treatment and is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any condition.
  • 30 days to change your mind. Give it a proper go for a month. If it has not earned its place in your evening, email us within 30 days and we will tell you where to send it back.
